Abstract This paper explores the optimal design of cone bit nozzle diameter and a comparative analysis tooth stress. When drilling tricone bit, direct contact between roller casing wellbore is prone to wear. The fluid emitted from helps reduce friction temperature. In this paper, three-dimensional model established using software, then surface shear stress under action flow field simulated. larger is, more serious wear is. simulation results show that when φ17mm, maximum on 6640Pa. φ22mm, 3040Pa, which 50% lower than φ17mm. Through analysis, improving housing drill 9SRA545R changed φ17mm can effectively erosion degree rock debris cone, improve housing.
